I pulled away from Kyle and scrunched up my nose. "You smell like flour and bacon grease." I said. Kyle just chuckled. I tried to pull little pieces of food out his hair but I gave up after a while. It was just too much food in his hair. "Go take a shower please." I said. Kyle gave me a quick kiss in response and left the room to take a shower.

I just turned back to the closet and searched for something comfortable to wear in the house since I wasn't planning on going anywhere. I found one of Kyle's blue t-shirts and some maternity slacks in the dresser. I put everything on and pulled my hair into a messy ponytail. Today was my relax day.

I left out the bedroom and walked past the kitchen, where Marco was being fat and trying to cook a thousand things at once, and into the second bedroom in the apartment. The room wasn't painted yet, Marco and Kyle were going to paint it after the baby was born, since we wouldn't know the gender until the day, and the baby crib was still sitting in the box. I walked past the crib box and touched it. I imagined seeing a baby in it, looking up at me and I touched my belly. I was excited for the gift but I was more nervous than anything. I've never seen myself as the mother type.

I walked to the rocking chair in the room, sitting in front of the bedroom and picked up the book sitting there. I picked it up and stared out the window. Today was rainy. But New York was always pretty when you it rains, it may not always be the best thing when you have to drive, but it was always nice to look at. The rain calmed me for some reason. I opened the book to a new page and wrote a new entry.

Dear Diary......

Nicolas's POV

"Mr. Stark. James McAllister is here to see you." My secretary, Rosa, said as she knocked and poked her head into my office.

"Thank you. Send him in please." I replied. I was standing in front of the window and watching the once white clouds become dark storm clouds. I didn't expect it to rain today but then again, I don't really pay attention to much anymore.

A few seconds later, Jim walked in. I turned around and greeted my oldest friend before questioning why he was even here. "Wassup Jim. What's brought you all the way over here to Chicago?"

"I thought I would surprise my best friend with a visit before we both head over to the banquet. I hate social events like that. I remember when our moms use to try to hook us up with different girls at the events because their parents were in the same social circles. Hell our moms still try that crap." Jim said.

"Hah. Yeah and remember when your mom tried to hook you up with Alison DeLuentes. She was obsessed with you. She gave you pictures of your "future children" together. That was hilarious." I said, laughing hysterically.

"That's not funny! I had to get a damn restraining order 9 times. I still think she's stalking me too." Jim said with his eyes popping out his head. He looked like a traumatized 5 year old. I couldn't help but laugh at his face. Jim eventually gave up his saltiness and laughed with me.

"Yeah..." I said, the laughter dying.

"How have you been these last few months?" Jim asked me.

"What do you mean? I've been fine. Just working, nothing unusual." I said nonchalantly.

"Nice way to rub it in."

"You're forever going to live in denial aren't you?"

"There's nothing else for me to do."

"How about stop trying to distract yourself with work and actually go get her."

"How do you know that she feels the same way towards me or that she hasn't moved on by now?"

"Because fate doesn't just drop that type of girl in your life for no damn reason."

I let what Jim said sink into my thick skull and I realized that he might be right. I mean I might not be in love with Arianna but I definitely didn't want her to never be in my life. These last six months have been hell and everyday, all I could think about was Arianna. The only time I didn't think about her was when I was working. But I couldn't work all day, when I went home or even closed my eyes, her saw her smile or the hurt on her face when I yelled at her over Sinclair. I wasn't necessarily mad at her that day, I was mad that Sinclair came first and Arianna met me after. I was mad that Arianna did what I had wanted to do for months. Don't get me wrong, I would never hit a female, but Sinclair knew how to push those buttons that mad you want to pull a Chris Brown on her ass. If I was a female, I would have punched the hell out of her long ago. I realized that it was time to go look for Arianna and even if she had moved on, I was going to fight for her and never give up. It was time for me to take what I wanted back.
