"I'm fine." I said to Kelly. She looked like she was ready to come back to me and touch me again to help me calm down. Her touching me was only going to make it worse so I needed to reassure her. "Honestly I'm fine. Tell me about yourself Kelly." I said, changing the subject.

"Oh well umm...I'm originally from West Virginia. I grew up in a small town and my parents dropped me off at boot camp one day and never came back."

"Aww I'm sorry." I said sincerely.

"It's fine. I'm completely over it."

"That's good. Where do you work?"

"Oh well umm... im a....Mail Carrier for this small law firm in downtown New York." She said suspiciously. She took to long to long to answer and then she got too hyper at the end. She acts just like Kevin. I'm going to have to figure out what the hell is going on with these two. Kelly was really pretty and Kevin seemed happy with her, but Kevin is the same as he was when we were kids, he most likely won't propose until he's afraid he's going to lose her. I would have to fill her in on that one day.

Kevin, Kelly, Marco and I spent the next 20 minutes joking and laughing. The baby shower ended around 9 pm. I said good bye to everyone at the door while Alysia, Marco, Kevin and Kelly started cleaning up. I said goodbye to the last person and noticed that Nicolas didn't walk out yet. I looked around for him and couldn't find him. I searched my bedroom and he wasn't in there. That's when I looked in the baby room and he was in there putting up the gifts. He looked like he was excited with all the baby stuff surrounding him. I didn't interrupt him because of the excitement I saw on his face. We hadn't really set up everything in the baby room yet because we didn't have a crib and I didn't paint the room yet since i didnt know the baby's sex yet. I couldn't see over his shoulder but it looked like he was measuring the wall. And he looked at color slips.

"What are you doing?" I asked. He almost jumped out of his skin and slowly turned around towards me. I decided to walk towards him and really see what he was doing. He put his hands and whatever he was holding behind his back behind him. "What is that?" I continued.

"Nothing." He said while backing up as I continued to walk towards him.

"Gotcha." I said laughing. Instead of him being mad, he pulled me close to him and stared in my eyes. I was shocked so I didn't really have an immediate reaction. I just stopped laughing and stared back into his eyes. I was a little scared about what was going to happen next but then I didn't really care. Then he kissed me. It felt like the kiss we had before he kicked me out of his room. I tried to pull away but then I quickly fell into it ignoring the warning my brain was sending. My heart had this one. I leaned into him a little enjoying the taste of his mouth. I let him take control in the kiss, just enjoying the ride. Then he pulled away. At first I thought he was going to leave again but then he held me closer and pulled my face up so that I could look him dead in the eyes.

"Go out with me. Just one time. I promise I won't try anything. It'll just be one date." He said, pulling me out of my day dream. WTF did he just say?

"Whaa?"

"I already asked Kevin. So it's up to you. I promise you won't regret it." He said. I just stared into his eyes trying to look for some sign of him kicking me out again. But I didn't find it. Instead I found a man, hoping that the woman in front of him would answer yes to his question since he was trying so hard to show her that he wouldn't leave again. I tried so hard to find the bad in him but I just couldn't find it. I accepted that it was time to let the past go and move on. So I did something that I hoped I wouldn't regret in the future.
