Fated Or Accident novel Chapter 37

I looked up and everyone was staring at me with their mouths open. I just continued eating and ignored their expressions.

"What!?" Marco and Kelly said at the same time.

"Why didn't you tell him?" Alysia asked.

"Yeah why didn't you tell him?" Kevin asked as he sat down next to me. I swallowed the lump in my throat and just let it all out.

"Because I was scared he was going to leave me. I mean I told him that the baby wasn't his and he's already done so much. What if he feels like he can't be with a liar and leaves me." I said not looking anyone in the eyes and keeping my head down as I spoke.

"I could see him leaving if you told him it was his baby when it wasn't but it's his child too. He should at least know." Marco said.

"I don't know." I mumbled.

"Arianna tell him before its too late." Kelly spoke up.

"I hate to admit this but I agree Anna. Just tell him." Kevin said putting his hand over mine. I looked up at him and he smiled at me. I looked over at everyone else as well and they all smiled at me encouragingly. I felt like they were right so I decided I would tell him today.

The door rang and Alysia went to go answer it while the rest of us made small talk and laughed together. Alysia walked back in grinning at me suspiciously. I was a little nervous about what she was up to.

"It looks like you have another date." She told me. I looked at her confused. Nicolas took that chance to walk in with red stargazer lilies. (Picture on Side)

"Good morning everyone." He said looking everyone but me in the eyes.

"Good morning." They all said together.

"Whatever." Kevin said, he always had to be the oddball.

"Good morning Arianna." He said looking me in the eye as he walked over to me. "These are for you." He said handing me the bouquet of flowers. They smelt sweet and I smiled at him.

4 hours later

We had fun walking around and talking. We mainly played arcade games since I couldn't really get on rides thanks to me being too pregnant. We had fun though. Nicolas won me a gigantic bear that was almost the size of me and this banana with locks. I loved it. We sat down at a table in the food court area after getting a funnel cake. I put some sugar on Nicolas's face after he made a joke about me being lazy.

We sat there enjoying the day and I was dreading telling Nicolas about the baby being his but I decided it was now or never.

"Nicolas there's something I need to tell you. And before you interrupt me I really need to say this. I lied about the baby not being yours and I'm sorry. I'm 8 months right now not 7 and the baby is yours. But I didn't tell you because you kicked me out after our divorce was over. How was I going to raise a baby in a household where there was no love? Plus you're a workaholic. You'd barely even be there for the baby and me."

"I already know that Arianna."

"Wait what?"

"I found out yesterday after our date. At first I was hurt but then I understood why you did what you did and I couldn't blame you. You deserve better than what I put you through. And despite you making me believe it wasn't my baby, I still love you Ari. And I'm still going to be here for my son or daughter. I'm just happy you told me now before it was too late. I love you ari." He said. I couldn't get the words out because my body felt weird. And then I felt it. The baby pressed down on my bladder and my water broke. I stared at Nicolas not knowing what to do because I was too much in shock.
