"Are you ok Ari?" He asked

"My....water broke." I whispered. Nicolas heard me and sprung into action. For someone who never took baby prep classes, he sure did know what to do.

Nicolas helped me up and called his chauffeur. I started doing the breathing technique they taught me in the baby prep class. Nicolas walked us over to the parking lot where the chauffeur was waiting. He helped me climb in and he got in himself, yelling at the guy to drive.

"Ok just breathe Ari. We'll be there soon." He told me doing the breathing techniques with me. He took my phone out and called Kevin to tell them to meet us at the hospital. I could hear Kevin yelling at Nicolas, he probably thought Nicolas hurt me but when Nicolas said that I was in labor, the yelling stopped and I could hear a ton of movement and commands in the background. Nicolas hung up shortly after that.

We looked at each other, both hoping the same thing. Please let the baby be healthy and for all of us to get there safely and on time.

I wasn't in a whole lot of pain at first but as we got closer to the hospital, I could feel the baby moving lower. Nicolas was still doing the breathing techniques with me and I was really appreciative of it. I was also curious as to how he knew what to do but I didn't question it.

Within 30 minutes, we arrived at Trinity Hospital. Nicolas jumped out of the car and ran over to my side to help me out. He helped me out and I walked really slowly into the hospital, trying to lean some of my weight into Nicolas because moving was starting to get very painful to do. We walked up to the receptionist desk and the lady didn't even look up at us.

"Excuse Me! She's in labor!" Nicolas said, trying to get the lady's attention by gently tapping on the counter.

"Ok Sir you're going to have to wait and fill out this paperwork." She said, while popping her gum and not looking up at us.

"I don't think you heard me...SHES IN LABOR NOW!" Nicolas spoke up a little louder. The receptionist looked up at us and her eyes popped out of her head.

"Maybe an hour ago." I said. I couldn't see the nurse's face but I saw Nicolas's expression when he saw hers. He wasn't looking too happy about it. We got off at the maternity wing and the nurse called for a gurney. The nurses helped me on it as they rolled me down the hallway to the back of the wing to a really big hospital room. Nicolas, amazingly, was still at my side the entire way. He questioned the nurse's about the room size and they said it was the most private room for a celebrity. They gave me a hospital gown to put on and let me change in privacy.

Not long after the nurses hooked me up to IVs and contraction monitors, a doctor came rushing in. He was middle aged, with light brown hair and a thick goatee.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Stark, my name is Dr. Holland." He said as he shook our heads. I didn't have time to complain about the mishap with our names because I had a really big contraction that almost blinded me. I squeezed the hell out of Nicolas's hand and I didn't hear him wince once. He wiped the sweat off my head and I mentally thanked him because I couldn't get any words out.

"Ohhh." I heard Dr. Holland say. I opened my eyes and saw a confused look on his face while he was looking at my contraction chart.

"You said you're water broke only a few hours ago?" He asked looking at both Nicolas and I for confirmation. I nodded my head and he stared back at the chart. "Liz I need an ultrasound please." Dr. Holland called to one of the nurses. She brought the machine over, lifted my gown up, and poured gel onto my belly. She placed the mouse over my belly, rolling over the spots until we could see the baby. I couldn't hear a heartbeat and it scared the living hell out of me. And then I heard it, a loud thump that matched my heartbeat. Dr. Holland came over and checked the monitor, turning the screen away from us. He then checked how many diameters I was.
