"Hey, Hanna," I looked next to me to see the most annoying person lately. It's like messing with me was his new hobby or something.

"What do you want." I snapped.

"Really? Don't tell you're still mad about first period?" Sage said.

"What do you think?"

He chuckled. "I'm guessing you're not a fan of me?" he asked.

"Wow," I gasped dramatically. "look who's catching on," I said it like it was the most well-achieved thing in the world.

He smiled and shook his head. "You know what, I like you, Hanna."

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Where are we even going?" I asked. "I feel like I'm being kidnapped."

"Calm down," he rolled his eyes amusingly. "Here." he then said. We stopped at a table that was occupied by some people. I recognized some of them as his friends from first period, so I'm guessing this is his table. He led me to sit down and he sat beside me. I automatically felt the reserved person in me shine through when I suddenly became the subject of interest.

Shall I say awkwardness?

"Guys," Sages started, breaking the silence. "this Hanna. Hanna, this is Nichole, Taylor, Jess, and Stella. I assume you remember the guys." They all greeted me but I just waved, my voice seemed small at the moment. They went back to their previous conversation, engrossed in whatever they were talking about. I felt like an intruder sitting here. They looked like the perfect group of friends, and then there was me, just simply there. But there was something about them I felt almost drawn to. It separated them from the masses; they seemed different. Maybe it was how friendly and alive they acted towards each other. I've always wanted positive people in my life so I guess that explains my interest. I felt someone nudge my side and I turned to meet Sage's concerned eyes.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yeah." I nodded. "Why?"

"Nothing. It's just that you're not eating and the period's almost over."

I looked down at my pizza, shocked that I had forgotten about it. I didn't even touch it at all. It was cold now and didn't look that appetizing. I pushed my tray aside.

How long was I staring off into space? Last time I check I was on the brink of starvation.

"Um...hi," I said warily. She smiled at me.

"What's wrong? You look like I'm gonna kill you or something." she laughed.

"Well, are you?" I quirked an eyebrow.

"No," she said, playfully punching my arm. "I'm harmless. What I actually came here to say was that Sage felt really bad about what happen and he's really sorry. Of course, he could be a douche at times, but he would never do it on purpose."

So she came to defend him. Must be his girlfriend or something. What else could she be here for?

I rested my weight on my right leg and crossed my arm, leaning against my locker.

"Only because I don't really know him, I won't judge," I said. "But if something like this happens again I won't hesitated to run him over this time." Nichole just busted out laughing and I was shocked she caught my reference.

"Don't worry, he won't," she said, as she hauled her arm across my shoulder and began walking me down the hall. "You know, I've been waiting to meet the girl who gave my brother even more brain damage, but I never expected to see you so soon."
