"Jacob just go. I don't think Sage would wanna see you here."

"What?" he groaned. "Don't tell me you're actually into him? The guy's joke. What makes you think he's good enough for you?"

I slammed my locker shut, literally inches from his face.

How dare he.

"We're dating actually," I said matter-of-factly, looking directly into his eyes. That new bound information seemed to have pushed him over the edge because his face darken.

"What does he have that I can't give you?"

"I thought you said you didn't want me?" I smiled sinisterly. "Do you not remember these words? 'I wouldn't call her much of a prize.' Yep. You said that."

"So what? I change my mind," he whispered, and push me against the lockers, making my book bag fall. I wasn't surprised I was going to play the damsel again. It seems like an unending occurrence for me.

"I advise you get your hands off of me."

"Why? Do you think Sage is gonna come to your rescue?"

"I don't need Sage to protect me." I sneered. "I can kick your ass myself."

Before I could do anything, I felt Jacob being pulled away from me by some guy. I saw him whisper something to Jacob before releasing him. Jacob just glared at the boy and muttered something under his breath before walking away.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Who is this knight in shiny armor that rescued me from a situation that I didn't need any help with? It was the guy that kept eyeing my all day. The new wolf.

I could have handled it myself, but I knew I still had to thank him anyway for the trouble. If only I could keep the thought of him being a stalker out of my head.

Why do I attract the weird ones?

"So you're not going to thank me?" he smiled. He had brown hair, hazel eyes and was about 6'1. I don't know why but he looks familiar up close, and it's not because I've been seeing his all day. He's reminding me of someone, but I don't know who.

"I would if I knew who I was thanking," I lied. I wasn't even going to thank him like I planned earlier. I could just be awkward and slowly walk away right now.

"Charlie Edwards is the one you should be thanking."

"Thank you, Charlie, I said and I picked up my bag from the ground. I look up to see that he was still there. "You still here?"

"Yeah, I need to talk to you."

"Look I don't wanna be mean, but I have to get to someone." I sighed.

"Told me what?"

"This is my mate."

"Impossible," Charlie says after a while. "You know we can't mate with humans."

"But aren't you half human?"

"True. I just thought my case was rare."

"I guess not."

"In that case, then I'm sorry Hanna for what I said. I really should have left like you wanted."

"Damn right!" Hanna said, breaking from my grasp. "Don't think I'll just forgive you that easily, I hold grudges!" she the turn on her heels and walked away. "I'll meet you in the car!"

I looked to Charlie and saw his face fall.

"Don't worry about it. She does that to everyone. It's nothing personal. I remember when she used to hate me."
