"Well?" she asked.

"Umm, but...ahh..." he trailed off.

Serves him right.

But then suddenly out of nowhere, his face lit up and he smirked at Hanna and then look to me.

"Hanna slept in your room last night!" he yelled. "She slept on your bed, rolled up in your sheets, the whole, nine, yards."

I look astoundingly at Hanna and her mouth was on the floor. If only Scott knew how dead he'd be any moment. I'm sure if she wasn't holding Toby, he'd have been down for the count.

"You bastard! You ratted me out!"

"You said a bad word!" Toby gasped. We all seem to have forgotten? about him during this little scene until he spoke up. Hanna put him down on his feet and met his level.

"Toby, I want you to cover your ears and sing really loud, okay?" she instructed. "You know what? Shut your eyes too cause this might get physical," she added but was also giving my dear friend Scott a fair warning.

"I guess this is round two." Charlie chuckled.

"But it's better cause you'll get to see her in action."

"Ten bucks down that he won't last for ten minutes." Charlie wagered.

"Twenty that he won't last five." I bid.

"Are you guys seriously making bets!" Hanna attacked us now. "And what is Charlie even doing here? I thought when they get let out from their cells, the puppies run home." she sneered.

I almost forgot I didn't clear things up with her.

"Hanna um," I grabbed her hand. "can I see you in here for a while?"

I didn't even wait for her to answer, I just pulled her into one of the rooms and locked the door.

"What is going on?" she asked.

"Alright before you get mad, just keep an open mind. Okay."

she nodded.

Nichole POV

He sat on the rustic looking bench before me. I've been walking around for an hour before I found him. I searched all the trails and woods until I saw him at that park he use to take me when I was younger. To anyone else, it would seem crazy to be only wearing a cotton shirt and jeans in this weather, but to me, it was normal.

I stepped forward, one foot trailing the other. I knew he heard me coming, the crunch of the snow under my feet had clearly informed him, but he didn't acknowledge me. He just kept his back turned. I continued walking until I took a seat next to him, nervous as hell. But it was as if I was invisible to him, it's like I wasn't even there. Tears stung my eyes, my vision becoming foggy.

Please don't hate me.

"Just be nice to him," Sage said, and I swear I almost had a heart attack.

Why the hell would he say that?

"What?" I asked flatly.

"I know you don't really like him-"

"I don't like him." I clarified.

"BUT, just give him a chance."

"You expect me to hold hands with him and sing Kumbaya? I don't think so."

"Hanna please!" he pleaded, his face the most desperate I'd ever seen it.

This must be serious.

I sighed. "Why does it matter? Do you not recall that little scuffle yesterday? When you guys actually wanted to murder each other?"

"It was a misunderstanding." He fanned off.

I scoffed, my hands gesturing the craziness I felt. "Let me guess, he tripped, and just so happen to fall on your waiting fist. I'm sorry that I clearly misjudged that for a fight. And let me please ignore that fact he almost crushed my soul!"
