In this standout chapter of the Internet novel New Wolf, Shea introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

"Hanna," he said, his voice somewhat on the brink to solidification. I knew what I said was kind of unnecessary but something was provoking me. I'm not really sure what the feeling was but its kind of...there. I'm not going to take back what I said, I wanted him to know.

"What," I said, already knowing what he might say.

"Charlie and Angela are mates. That's why he was upset." his voice was one tone, almost robotic. I don't think I know what this side of him is like because I've never seen it. But somehow the atmosphere had suddenly changed and I don't think I know where this conversation is going anymore.

"How do you know?" I asked, trying to focus on anywhere but him. I really wasn't shocked about the Angela and Charlie news, but I didn't expect that either. I was probably distracted by Sage's sudden mood swing that it hadn't sunk in yet.

Yeah, probably.

"He told me," he said, taking steps closer to me until the gap between was almost filled. I tried to step away but he only pulled me back to him. His grip secure. I looked into his eyes to see that they were almost dark, just a hint of green speck still remaining.

"So because of what Jess said he got mad?"

I guess it's understandable. I mean, I'm not picking Angela's side but she did look sorry. And if I were her I'd probably bawl my eyes out to Sage if someone said that to me. Maybe I guess I could possibly give Charlie a chance...

"Yes. But what's wrong with you?"

"W-what do you mean?" I stammered, the conversation suddenly about me.

"You seem... frustrated," he whispered. If it wasn't for the way he said it I'd have nodded in agreement, but instead, here I am blushing like a complete buffoon.

"Um... I..." I swallowed, I was completely lost for words.

"You should use words, Hanna," he whispered again, his lip brushing against my ear, his hands trailing my sides. And let me tell you, HOT DAMN! "That's how people communicate."

"I..."

This kiss was different than the rest. It felt different. It held something to it that I couldn't quite figure out...but I liked it. It started off slow, sensual, gentle. But it soon escalated to passionate, hungry, lustful.

He lifted me from the ground in a strong grip, my legs around his waist. He walked me over to the bed and lowered me onto the soft sheets, his lips never leaving mine. As he began to crawl between my legs, I started to peel his shirt off his body.

Trust me, I was surprised at myself. My hands seemed to have a mind of their own, but it's not like I tried to stop them.

Suddenly I felt his hand brush against my stomach as I began to feel it becoming exposed. When I felt the nip of the cold air against it, I sought for the warmth of his body. His lips left mine at attended to my neck. I gasped in exhilaration, raking my hands through his hair. I squeeze my eyes shut as he began to nip and lay light kisses down my throat. A soft moan escaped my lips that only seemed to please him. He lowered hips to mine, leaving no space between us. I could feel his desire for me, poking between my legs and I don't know what possessed me to thrust upwards. I honestly thought I was going to lose my mind when a low growl ripped from his throat. And, it thrilled me.

I don't know what happened to my resistance. The bed was usually my red flag but look at me, breaking all my rules. I guess I have no one but myself to blame for this, I'm not even trying to stop him.

Guess he's always been my weakness after all.
