You're not gonna be like the girls in the scary movies and try and find out what that was!

I jumped into my bed and pulled the cover all the way over my head, attempting to block out the outside. It's time like these I wished I didn't live by myself.

Sage POV

I woke up early this morning to the blasting sound of my alarm clock. Usually, I would hit the snooze bottom and go back to sleep, but not this time. Today I actually want to go to school, just to see her. Since that day in the hospital, I knew I had to find her. My wolf and I had to see her again. You only get one mate in your life and if you lose them, just consider yourself lost. It's painfully hard to move on from one but not impossible. But who would want to forget the person they were made for? My friends Jess and Devin are proving how having a mate is the best thing in the world to this day. She's human though but Devin doesn't care. They've been together since freshmen year and been inseparable since. But enough about them, what I really care about right now is Hanna. Even saying her name is like a spell. She had dark almost black hair and pale skin. Her brown eyes held hits of green and gold, something that only made her stand out more. She was absolutely breathtaking.

After I took a shower, I got dress and headed downstairs. I didn't even take five steps good at the bottom before little blond blur tackled me to the hardwood floor. He was getting stronger by the day and was even stronger than me when I was his age.

"What's up little man?"

"Hey, big brother! You wouldn't believe what I did yesterday!" I chuckled at how excited he was. It's amazing how he could get excited over the simplest things, like yesterday when I told him we were having pancakes for breakfast, his face lit up like a Christmas tree. I got up from the floor and placed him to sit on my shoulder, a routine he became accustomed to. He held on to my head to steady himself.

"What did you do?" I asked heading for the kitchen.

"Some of the big kids invited me to hang out with them yesterday and they took me to the fighting thingy. It was so cool." his childish voice chimed. I frowned as his statement. The only reason these guys are talking to him was because they know that I was the soon to be Alpha. I know for a fact that if it was someone else, they wouldn't spare him a glance. Toby knows he's not supposed to go there. That 'fighting thingy' was a fair way for wolves to go challenge each other without having anyone killed; like an outlet match. If some of the fighters decided to get dirty, Toby could have seriously gotten hurt. He was just five, didn't even shift yet. And I'm pretty sure he couldn't take a hit delivered by a fully merged werewolf.

"Toby, you know you're not old enough to go there yet. If mom found out she'll kill you!"

"If I found out about what?" I stopped dead in my tracks. She was holding a spatula in one hand and the other one was rested on her hip. She raised an eyebrow at us suspiciously.

"Yeah, I'm still surprised she gave up so easy." He said, and I just nodded.

After everyone was now gathered at the table, my sister chose to be the one to start the conversation, as usual. Nichole and mom could talk about the weirdest things and I'm sure dad, Toby and I had heard our fair share of tampon comparisons. I don't think I'll ever eat sausages again.

"Mom, I met Sage's mate yesterday." My eyes bulged out of my head and I started choking on my orange juice.

Note to self, never tell Nichole anything.

I quickly recovered and glared at her. I had my reasons of not tell my parents, mom especially, I don't even know why I told my sister in the first place! I did my best to ignore their stares but I knew they'll bother me until I tell them. So much for avoiding this subject.
