"What?" I snapped crossing my arms.

"You never told us you found your mate?" my mother asked.

"I had to be sure before I actually said anything." I was telling the truth. I was part of the reason why I never told them I ever saw her. From what I've witnessed between some of my friends, when you met your mate, neither of you would want to leave the other, but the case was different with Hanna. It's as if she wants nothing to do with me. I was really getting frustrating.

"Well, why didn't you tell me?" my mother asked.

"Believe me, mom, if I told you, I would be hearing wedding bells right now," I grumbled.

"The boy has a point." my father chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. It amuses me how a full grown man, not to mention Alpha was intimidated by his mate. But I understand. Keeping women happy, keeps the peace.

"Don't tell me you knew about this too?" she snapped at him.

"It was a hunch." Dad sighed.

"And you didn't tell me! Do you know how long it's gonna take to plan this wedding on such short notice! But don't worry, I can make miracles happen. I'll have buy decorations and go dress shopping, send out the invitations. Oh my gosh! This is going to be wonderful!"

I was right all these years. My mother is crazy.

"So does that mean I'm gonna have another sister?" a small voice spoke up.

"I really don't know, Toby. This girl seems not at all interested me." I admitted.

"What do you mean? She is your mate isn't she?" my father asked.

"Yeah but...she's a human so," Everyone but Nicole turned the attention to me, who was acting as if what I said was old news. Never has the Alpha line ever mated with a human, so this was actually a phenomenon.

Funny how I'm not even captivated by this. Must haven't sunk in yet.

Nobody said anything after that, which I was thankful for. My mother was surprisingly quiet which only meant that she was planning something. If she wouldn't be the one to get Hanna to like me then I don't know who would. The woman was devious when it came to things like these and I know she'll use everything she has in her to get us together. Now I see where Nichole gets it from. Like mother like daughter.

I stepped out of my car onto the school parking, feeling the chill of the January cold against my cheeks. I plan on telling her everything today. I know it seemed too soon, but it feels like she has to be mine. Never in my life had I thought that I would ever be tied down to one girl, but Hanna is that living proof of my mistake. She held my attention.

Before I knew it, I was already walking down the hallway looking at the view of her at her locker. A few people greeted me but my determination was set somewhere else to even reply. I only had one thing on my mind and that was reveal everything to her. Yesterday might not have been my best highlight moment, but I plan on not screwing up today. She has to feel something when I'm near, so she must at least be curious about me.

I abruptly stopped when I saw what was suddenly happening. I was about ten feet away from her when Jacob McFolon approached her. My wolf suddenly went territorial, wanting nothing but to rip him apart.

That dick.

If I knew Jacob, he was a player. And the only time he would 'randomly' set his sights on a girl was when he knew I was after her. It was like a game to him. He tries to get any girl I want so he can show me up. He doesn't even care about them at all. It's just to get under my skin and he'll just dump them when I'm no longer interested. It's just disgusting! I might be popular with the ladies but I would never do something as low as that. I wasn't brought up that way.

I was about to march over there when someone planted themselves in front of me, blocking my target. By the smell of too much perfume, I could already tell who it was, Angela Marks. Yes, Angela, the girl who's been after since the day I set foot into this school, but the same girl who disrespected my mate. I could only imagine what she wanted now. She's been getting on my nerves lately, but as I always do I suppress my annoyance. I tried to be nice and not harshly reject her but she doesn't know how to take a hint! Doesn't she know I'm not interested? If I was to either get mauled by hungry bears or make out with Angela, I would honestly go with the bears. It's mean, but Angela was too shallow and a bully. She looks for people's weaknesses and used it against them. We would have never worked out.
