"Hey Sage." she started, but my reply was indifferent because I was too busy eavesdropping on another conversation. She didn't seem to notice my lack of interest so she continued and I tuned her out.

I couldn't believe what that bastard was telling my mate. Inviting her to a party so he could show her how to have a 'good' time.

Try that line in the 80's! It won't get you anywhere today!

I swear that guy was seconds away from his grave! But what really made my blood boil was when he brushed his hand against her cheek, trying to persuade her into going. What the hell is wrong with this him? She's. Not. Interested.

I could tell that he was getting offended because she rejected him. Never as he been turned down by a girl, and Hanna was the one breaking the record.

I saw her struggling to yank her arm away from him and that's when I made my decision. I gently pushed Angela to the side, ignoring her fusses and made my way over there.

Human or not, I don't care. He's dead.

Hanna POV

I rolled eyes, not believing this was actually happening. "I said let me go."

"What's the rush? All I want is for you to go to one party with me, that's all."

"I heard you the first time. The answer is still no, so move." I said but his grip only tightened.

"It's just one party."

I scoffed. "And that's supposed change my mind?"

He frowned. "Do you know that any girl would kill to go to a party with me?"

"Do you know that I'm a slip second away from breaking your arm. Get your hands off her, Jacob, now." said a familiar voice. Immediately recognized it was and honestly, I was kind of relieved... and glad? Why was I happy that it was Sage who came to my rescue? I know he's been watching me the whole time I was talking to this creep, and I couldn't help but notice how personal he was taking it.

"Well, well, well," Jacob chuckled and pushed me off to the side. He turned to the Sage, smirking as if he was expecting him; as if him approaching me was to lure Sage. "if it isn't Sage Fischer. Don't tell me you're mad because I got to your prize before you did?"

Prize? So I'm a prize now?

"I wouldn't call her much of a prize," he continued, looking me over. "I thought you were into high heels and high skirts?"

"She's, a whore," he repeated and Sage punched him. Jacob sagged to the side as if he didn't expect the blow. I saw Sage curling his fist for round two and I made my decision to step in.

"Let him go." I jumped in, halting Sage's action.

Curse you guilt!

"Just forget about. It's fine." I said.

Sage scoffed. "You can't be serious?"

"What is going on here!" a voice rang above the noise. Suddenly everyone scattered as if the end was near. The was a man pushing through the student and scolding them while doing so. He was tall and wore glasses. His hair was slick back neatly, not a hair out of place, and he wore a suit. I groaned inwardly.

Please don't tell me its someone of high authority here...

"Is there something wrong here?" he asked, as he observed the three of us. The crowd was gone now, but I knew somewhere probably watching from the corners.
