He broke the kiss and just stared at me for a while. I know I've said this a million times time now, but his lips are so addictive. Every time he uses it on me, I turn to mush-

No, every time he looks at me I turn to mush.

But he was practically boring into my skull right now. And with this thought racing through my mind, I looked down.

Mush

Mush

Mush

I hate that I get so embarrassed easily. I usually don't put so much of myself into relationships, which is probably why they never work out, but Sage had been very persistent since the beginning.

I felt fingers tucking the hairs guarding my face from him behind my ears. I immediately regretted looking at him because the glint his eyes carried could make any heart burst with intensity.

One word: Passion

"Sage," the door burst opened. "your-oh..."

Awkward

"I-I'll come back later." The guy stuttered. As soon as the close, I suggested that Sage put up a sign to ward people off, but he just laughed like the jerk he was. While my ideas were somewhat childish, I thought they were pretty decent, but no, he laughed.

That bastard

"Do you expect me to put 'Beware. Sexual Intercourse.' or 'Caution. There Might Be Sex In This Room.'"

"You know what I meant." I smacked his arm.

He smiled. "You're cute when you're flustered."

"Yeah, keep thinking that."

"I should probably go see what he wants. Mac only comes to me directly if there was a serious issue."

"Okay."

"I don't know how long I'll be gone, but if you leave before I get back, promise me you'll call me if anything happens."

"Gee, you've been making me promising you a lot of things all day."

"Only because I know you'll never break them." He gave me a short, sweet kiss and then wrapped me up in his arms. As I buried my face in his shoulder, I savored in the good feeling it precipitated. "Please be safe."

"First of all, it's called mating," she clarified. "and secondly, it's a time of bonding between both souls and it deeper than any form of desire to be closer." She said.

"Wow, in health class Mr. Farce summed it up as the urge to merge." I laughed. "I guess werewolves gets more out of this."

"Yes. Yes, we do."

"So," I said, finishing the bottom on my jeans as I revealed myself to her. "the biting thing was just random then?"

"He marked you!" she gasped. "Holy crap it actually did happen! Tell me everything! How was it- Wait! Eweee, I forgot it was Sage for a second."

I laughed. "It was nice." I smiled. "Would it be pathetic if I said I was afraid?"

"Please, you should have seen me! Scott was convinced I'd have a panic attack."

"He proposed, though. I'm marrying your brother."

"Shut up!" her eyes widened. "Are you serious!" She pulled me into a hug. "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys. Soon you'll be pregnant like me and eat everything in site..."

"Nichole, are you crying?"

She sniffled and then laughed. "Yeah. Weddings always get to me."
