"This is a mistake, I'm no Alpha!" I blared and immediately their cheers died.
"But you are." A male werewolf sputtered.
"I'm not!" I asserted with stern gaze glaring at Gabriel. There he was, acting all innocent like he hadn't done anything.
"Yes you are!" Rose pitched. "You're the only one with Alpha blood coursing through your veins. And you're the only one brave enough to lead us to promise Land."
I chuckled nervously.
"There is no promise Land with me as your leader. There is only blood!" I almost yelled.
"Yes! Blood of our enemies shed!" Another chorused. I growled and instantly grabbed Gabriel by his collar.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? We did not discuss this! You're their natural leader!" I tried not to raise my voice as I fiercely eyed his calm countenance.
"They want you. Besides, I'm just a temporary leader." He replied calmly.
"I'm not fit!" I hollered as I almost raised him above the ground. I didn't even care what they thought as they watched us.
"Stop this nonsense and be the leader you're supposed to be!"
"I only have brains, Kevin. Whereas you have strength and natural leader's blood." He replied and my grip tightened. "This is the only way man. Being the Alpha is the only way you can exact your revenge! Now take up your role and give our Pack a name!"
My head rang with sinister plans flooding all at once. Gabriel was right, Being their Alpha gave me more authority and control. It would be the easiest and quickest way in dethroning my step uncle. A devilish smile spread on my lips as I released my friend.
I turned to my Pack Members, peering at people I barely knew.
"I am your Alpha! Bow before me." I imagined myself saying those words but I quickly shook those devilish thoughts off.
"I am not the regular sweet talking Alpha." I announced on a stern note. "And I'm not going to lie, I only joined this Pack for one thing. Revenge. Revenge against Alpha Jason. If you know, you're not ready for a fight. A fight to return home. Greenville. Then leave! Because there's no room for weaklings."
I pursed my lips giving them minutes to decide but when no one made a move. My lips parted.
"The name of this Pack," I paused again. This time exchanging glances at Gabriel and without thinking, I let my heart form the name.
"Is The Black Moon Pack!"
And after a joyous inauguration ceremony, so many drinks and cigarettes, listening to sad stories of my Pack members I barely knew. I finally get to return home.
"The Lycan is never going to approve a Pack full of rogues--"
"Which is why we've decided to attack Greenville. Take control!" I hurriedly cut her off.
"Kevin!" My mother yelled with tears already soaking those beautiful brown irises of hers. My chest started to pang with pain noticing those hurtful tears refraining from trickling.
"This is your Pack! Your Father's Pack! Can you even hear yourself?"
My teeth gnashed and my chest towered in a furious manner
"Greenville ceased to be my Pack ever since my Father's unjustly death! And I don't care what happens to that pathetic Pack." I stated through gritted teeth as I inched closer to her. My eyes ferocious and my breaths storming out short and heavy.
"Kevin if you keep on following this path, you'll only face pain." She answered in the calmest tune. And then stormed into her room.
My palms curled into a fist as my anger dosed. The fact she chose to criticize my decision, the fact she chose not to understand things from my point of view, ruined my mood.
Somehow, I couldn't help but think she was right. Regardless, my revenge is all that mattered.
