My eyes opened sharply, glowing a dangerous golden yellow. My muscles expanded, my nose flared and canines bared in the cold air. Anger coursed through my veins like blood. And without thoughts, I ran. Trotted with my werewolf speed and as my foot reached the edge, I jumped.
The winds smashed against my entirety, howling in my ears as I flew higher than the forest with great distance. My hair danced backwards as my body propelled towards Greenville. In a minute, I landed on the edge of Greenville's cliff!
The ground quaked with my feet buried deep into Greenville's soil. I panted ceaselessly while I smiled. I did it! I proved Gabriel wrong. I was in Greenville, safe and sound.
"We did it Lupus!" I yelled to the moon. "We did it!" I could literally feel my wolf jumping excitedly within me but it was for a different course. A reason I knew not. Nevertheless, I began to thread on the leafy path. Taking stride towards the Pack house but then my attention got divided.
I could hear Alpha Jason's hateful voice emanating far from the right alongside resounding cheers from the crowd. Greenville Square. The same spot where my father was murdered. The same place I challenged Alpha Jason and got exiled. At the same time, I felt a strong feeling pulling me towards the Pack house. Lupus was most especially excited, beckoning unto me to yield to this force.
My pace came to a solemn halt, struck in a limbo whether to yield to Lupus or follow after my prize. Alpha Jason. I took deep breaths whilst reminiscing on the injustice bestowed upon me and my Pack Members. Whatever it was dragging me towards the Pack house would have to wait.
I turned right, marching furiously towards Greenville Square.
"Today is indeed a blessed da--" I heard my step uncle's hateful voice protrude the chill air again. My palms clenched into a fist, my breaths came out sharp as my chest towered. I could feel the hairs on my skin rise as my eyes gleamed a bright shade of Golden Yellow.
"Alpha Jason!" I yelled as I inched towards the Pack grounds. The cheery crowds reverted from their excitement to inaudible mumblings as they parted way for me.
The Alpha's face that had once worn a proud smile morphed into horror intertwined with shock. Seeing that face alone, irked me.
His guards bared their canines at me as their eyes glowed threatening Yellow like mine. Instead of wavering in fear, I progressed. I knew they were simply waiting for Alpha Jason's order. And truth be told, if any of them lurched at me. I would have ripped them into pieces.
"You Rogue!" Alpha Jason growled with evident discomfort displaying on his face. "How dare you trespass into my Pack lands?!" As those words escaped his lips, three of his guards launched towards me.
I quickly slipped out the grenade in my pocket causing the majority to gasp while the guards halted abruptly. Retreating further away from me.
"One more step, and I promise all of us will be blown to pieces." I declared while I climbed the stage, where Alpha Jason stood frozen. Gritting his teeth with clenched fists.
The ground quaked for a brief moment causing everyone to shudder but I knew better. Those were the signs of my Pack Members raging the east of Greenville.
"That is the sound of my Pack Members mercilessly dealing with your men the same way you did mine!" I announced as all attention fell on both of us. "And very soon," I glanced briefly at every Pack Members.
"I, Kevin Manchester! Alpha of The Black Moon Pack. Hereby challenge Jason Manchester, Alpha of Greenville Pack. A duel to death by winner." I announced and immediately another round of murmurs exploded.
"And what makes you think you have the right to challenge me?" Alpha Jason retorted, his chest towering just like mine.
"After all, the Lycan hasn't approved your Pack yet. You still have the mark of a Rogue!"
"I have this!" I raised the Grenade again.
"You bastard!" The Alpha growled. This time, his heavy breaths became audible.
"If you don't accept this challenge, then I have no choice but to kill us all. But if you think you're up to the task, then face me like an Alpha you call yourself!"
We both bore holes at each other for minutes until he finally gave in.
