If I was really going to stay, I needed to get pass my trauma of fire and adjust myself to the sight of gory scenes.
"Alright," Axil breathed out as he suddenly got up and hoisted me into his arms. I squealed in surprise and wrapped my arms around him. He walked back towards the pond and walked into the cold water.
I tapped his shoulder lightly, "Put me down let me wash off properly."
He placed me down in front of him then began to gather water in his hands before throwing it on me. I yelped as the freezing cold water slid down my body and stepped away from him with a shiver.
"I'll do it myself!"
Axil chuckled and allowed me to wash myself.
As I was running my hands across my lower regions, I froze.
Due to the distraction before, I didn't notice this but now that everything had calmed down and my surroundings were quiet, I could finally hear myself think again. But I wasn't the only one thinking.
As I delved into my mind, I ran into the multiple channels that buzzed in the background. Out of sheer curiosity I mentally pried into those channels, only to have my mind suddenly bombarded with hundreds of voices as many different conversations were in place. I winced and hurriedly pulled back but not before hearing one specific question.
"Luna?"
I turned to Axil with wide eyes as he stared at me with a knowing look on his face.
"I can hear them!" I exclaimed in surprise.
Axil chuckled at the fascination that circled in my eyes.
"Precious," a familiar voice sounded inside my mind.
I frowned at him in disapproval, "what's with the new nickname?"
He raised an eyebrow at me, "I heard that humans create pet names for their partners and wanted to try it out," he shrugged, "I like the idea."
"... Why precious though?"
"Because you're very precious to me," he stated confidently.
"Yes, that. I have questions that I want to ask him, starting with that the fuck was his goal in experimenting on werewolves for years. Something tells me we wouldn't like the answer," I muttered to myself as I began thinking of the future and all the tasks that was ahead of us.
"Let's head back," Axil offered a hand to me, and I accepted, allowing him to clasp our hands together and tugged me out of the clearing.
As the sound of the waterfall gradually faded, I asked Axil curiously, "Are we walking?"
He hummed and squeezed my hand reassuringly, "for now. I want to spend a little more time with you before we go back."
My heart bloomed at that, and my lips tilted upwards slightly as I went silent and allowed him to lead me through the forest.
"What the fuck is wrong with your face?" Was the first question that escaped my lips as I ran into Liza outside my hospital door. Her lips were pulled into a wide ass smile that almost touched her excitement filled eyes.
"Bitch..." Liza squealed as she hurriedly grabbed my hand and pulled me inside my room, slamming the door shut behind us.
I was shook harshly as her claw like grip tightened around my arms, her hawk like eyes searching my face for something, anything that could give me away.
