"What the fuck?" I exclaimed in surprise, "what's your problem?"

She leaned closer to me and sniffed my clothing before stepping back with an amused look on her face. She pointed at the bathroom door to our left.

"Walk towards that door let me see you," she demanded.

I frowned at her behavior, "are you on something? Why would I listen to you?"

Her eyes sparkled as she ignored my words, muttering to herself, "I wonder if I can tell from how she walks..."

"..."

I rolled my eye at her behavior then walked towards the bed and face planted.

I groaned as my body relaxed into the tough mattress, "I really miss my old bed."

"Damn it! I wasn't ready. Hey Ezzy, get up and walk again."

I raised my hand behind my head where I knew she was and flipped my middle finger, "suck it."

Liza groaned and came over to sit on the edge of the bed, her eyes trailing down my frame curiously, "are you really not going to tell me what you were up to? Your hair is a mess, and I knew for a fact you freshened it up before you left."

I buried my face in the pillow, my mind flashing back to what I did with Axil earlier. Both my body and face heated up at my thoughts.

I mumbled, "I really did it..."

"What was that?" Liza asked eagerly.

I lifted my face slightly so my voice could be heard clearly, "I slept with Axil!"

I quickly buried my face back into the pillow as the room went completely silent. Then all of a sudden, a shrill scream sounded in the room, causing me to wince as Liza fangirled.

Liza snorted and rolled her eyes, "what kind of question is that? If you're in some kind of trouble, I'd be the first to block the blows for you. If you're on the run, I'll run with you and if you have enemies then I also have enemies."

I sighed and ran a hand down my face, "I'm being serious, Liza."

She came and sat down beside me, stretching out a hand to pinch me harshly on my side. I yelped and glared at her furiously, "what was that for!?"

She glared right back at me, "I am being serious, Ezzy. We might not share the same blood, but we grew up as sisters and there's no one else in this world who could ever take your place in my heart. Ezzy, if I had to choose, I would die for you without hesitation, and I know you'd do the same for me. I may not know much but I know enough to realize that there's a storm coming and you're going to be at the very front of it. And although I may be human, I'm gonna take my frail ass, equip it with some kinda supernatural killing knife or whatever and charge right into that storm by your side. You're not getting rid of me no matter how many times you try and push me away."

My lips trembled as I tried to hold back my raging emotions, but it was useless as tears sprung to my eyes.

"I'm sorry," I sniffled, not knowing what exactly I was apologizing for as I leaned over to pull her into a hug. She didn't hesitate as she wrapped her arms around me and allowed me to cry into her chest.

The warmth that emitted from her body soothed me as I released my emotions once more, the only thing I've been doing for a while now. I've spent so many years bottling up my fear, anxiety, and rage inside that now that a crack had formed in the dam, the waterworks just wouldn't stop flowing out.
