In this standout chapter of the Internet novel Fated Or Accident, PledGord introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

"Yummy!!! Food!!! I'm starved." Marco said, sitting at the island next to me with a empty plate in front of him and a knife in one hand and a fork in the other. He reminded me of scooby when Fred or Velma said something about food. I just chuckled at Marco in between bites of food.

Alysia turned around and gave Marco the "wtf" face. "Um you don't have a maid, get your ass up and get your own food." She told him.

"You couldn't be a maid regardless, you only take a bath once a year anyway." Marco said.

Alysia threw an apple in Marco's direction and when she missed, she started chasing him around the kitchen with a butcher knife, with the intent to kill. Marco just ran around trying to avoid her and screaming, "try horizontal running Fat Amy!!!"

I laughed at their stupidity and waited till they were finished. Marco didn't sit back down immediately, he stood in the corner of the kitchen, looking ready to bolt at anytime.

"You two really need to stop." I said.

"He started it!" Alysia said.

"Right fat amy, blame the skinny guy on picking fights."

"Fuc...."

"Stop!"

"Yes mother." They both said as they took their seats. We ate in silence for a while until alysia started talking again.

"So what are you doing this Saturday around 5?" She asked me. The look she gave me screamed, "I'm doing something really suspicious but you can't tell what."

"Nothing.....why?" I asked, curious.

"Oh great because there's this banquet that Trevor is catering and I have to go but i don't want to go by myself. It's for a bunch of boojey elite New Yorkers." She said, speaking really fast.

"Um ok." I said, I wasn't really that interested but it's time for me to get the hell out this apartment. The walls were starting to talk to me.

"Can I come?" Marco asked quietly.

"No!" Alysia said.

"Yes!" I said. "And he's coming with me. I don't want any of those snobs thinking I'm some knocked up slut that's coming to take their men."

"Fine whatever." Alysia gave in.

Who was going to be the father figure in my baby's life? And how come all of the bad things were happening to me? Wasn't I a good person? What did I do to deserve this?

"How do I look?" Alysia asked, interrupting my mini crisis in my head. I turned around and looked at her. She had a black dress that stopped above her knee and hugged her body. It had a diamond pin attached to her left shoulder strap. It was beautiful. She paired it with black stiletto heels.

"Wow." I said.

"Really? Is it that bad?"

"No. No. It's amazing! You look amazing!" I said. Alysia grinned at me, obviously thrilled with my compliment.

"I thought Trevor might like it too." She said. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah." I said grabbing my clutch purse off the bed.

We headed out the bedroom and into the living room. Marco was standing there fixing his suit. He had a black tux with a red tie and handkerchief, in his breast pocket. His black hair was slicked back and you could probably see your reflection in his shoes. Marco was great at fashion. He coordinated our outfits so people would know that we were together. Marco looked nice in his tie. If he wasn't gay, I'm sure he would be my type. Unfortunately, all good men are either gay or taken. Life sucks doesn't it.

We all left the apartment together and got into the chauffeured Lincoln. We sat, pretty much in silence the entire time. Alysia was practically bouncing out her seat with excitement and Marco and I just looked bored. I hoped that this would be worth it because I really just wanted to go back to bed or at least put on my maternity sweatpants, a baggy t-shirt and watch re-runs all day.
