I sat outside the restaurant just waiting and reading over Alysia's file again. She was currently dating and living with a guy named Trevor, address not listed. She was a waitress at Trevor's restaurant. A car pulled up to the restaurant and I didn't really pay it much mind until I saw a woman, who fit Alysia's description, get out of the car and head towards the restaurant. I hurriedly got out of the car and tried to get her attention.

"Excuse me!" I yelled after her. She slowly turned around, her purse clutched tight to her side and eyes narrowed at me. She was in defense mood, which let me know that she had some type of training in self defense. "I'm sorry to bother you. Are you Alysia?" I asked.

"Yes. Who's asking?" She replied slowly, clearly suspicious but still in defense mood.

"My name is Nicolas. I'm Arianna's ex-husband." I said. Alysia's eyes popped out of her head. She stared at me, clearly understanding what I was saying but trying hard not to believe it.

"What the hell do you want!?" She asked.

"Look. I'm not here to cause trouble okay. I just need help on trying to get Arianna back."

"She told you?"

"About the baby yes."

"And you still left her."

"She wasn't pregnant when I left her."

"What did she tell you exactly?"

"That it's not my child and that the father isn't in their lives anymore."

"So maybe you should be like the father and not be in their lives anymore."

"I don't want to do that. Look I already messed up once. And ever since then, she's been this constant thought in my head. I can't get her out of it. And believe me I've tried everything."

"Well maybe you need to try harder." She said as she turned back around and walked away from me.

"I don't want to lose her again. And I'm not leaving her this time. Especially since she's pregnant with no male figure in the baby's life." Alysia stopped walking and turned around to face me again.

"I get it. I understand why all of you hate me but I didn't know that Sinclair was doing that. You have to believe me."

"And why should I believe you?"

"Because I am absolutely and irrevocably in love with Arianna. Our marriage wasn't a sham, I was just afraid to let anyone in. I knew there was something between Arianna and me since the first moment I met her, but I didn't want to believe it. She was just too beautiful and mesmerizing for her own good. She's smart and independent and I love that about her. I want to take care of her for the rest of our lives. If I'm not that baby's father or not. I want to love that baby as though it was mine from Day 1. If taking care of another man's baby means I can have Arianna back then I don't give a damn what the hell I have to do. I'll do anything for her."

Alysia just stared at me with no emotion on her face. I was on the verge of tears because I've never said that aloud to anyone. Not even myself. But I was desperate. I needed Alysia to help me. She was the only one who knew Arianna well enough to know how to win her back. I felt defeated when she didn't answer me. I was about to turn and walk away when she finally spoke up.

"Fine! But if we do this, we do it my way. Comprende?"

ARIANNA'S POV

Who the hell did he think he was!? Trying to waltz back into my life after everything. And he picked the perfect time too. I bet he was in on that skank's scheme to get Kyle to distract me. I could have distracted my damn self. I didn't want to go back to him anyway. Nicolas as far as I'm concerned, is dead to me. Just like Kyle and that slut Sinclair. Why does everyone feel like they need to help me or keep me from doing things? I'm a grown ass woman. I can take care of myself. And now that I'm single, I can raise this baby by my damn self. I'm not going to turn out like my mother, searching for a man to help raise my child. I don't need a man in my life.
