"Race you down stairs Spence." I yelled running out my room, down the hall and down the stairs. I could hear Spence's dog collar getting closer to me so I ran a little faster. I jumped down the last step and jumped up and down.

"I beat you! I beat you!" I yelled at Spence as he jumped up and down with me, trying to lick my face. I was too engulfed in my own fun that I didn't realize my parents were arguing again. I heard them in the library and I pushed the door open a little to see what was happening. Out of all days, I wish I hadn't seen what I did that day.

"Ricardo! You don't love me! You're always out! You come home later each night!" My mother yelled as she was pacing back and forth.

"Oh shut the hell up Rosalie! I do love you! Stop being dramatic. Unlike you I have a job and I would like to keep it." My father said as he took a swig of the brown drink in his glass and leaned against his office desk.

"You don't need to fuck every girl you see to keep that job!" My mother spat as knocked the glass out of my father's hand and watched it fall to the floor.

"What the hell is wrong with you Rosalie? I provide you with everything you need. You don't have to lift a finger. All you have to do is enjoy life and raise our son."

"My son barely even knows what his father looks like. His father hasn't read to him or tucked him in at night since he was three!"

"I try to get home on time I honestly do!"

"Well great you'll stay home more if I wasn't here wouldn't you."

"You wouldn't dare leave me!" My father yelled as he walked over to my mother in two long strides, grabbing hold of her arm making her look him in the eyes.

FLASHBACK OVER

I sat on that floor, silently crying, wishing I could have done more for Arianna. I was deep into thought until a familiar voice pulled me out of it.

"What the hell is going on!?" Kevin yelled as he ran over to me with Kelly, Alysia, Trevor, and Marco following behind.

"She had the babies...but then she lost a lot of blood and I don't know." I said, forcing the words out through the lump in my throat. I probably looked terrible with swollen, tear filled eyes but I didn't care. All I was concerned about was Arianna making it.
