Uneasiness gathered in me at the thought of casting a spell in front of Liza. It wasn't as if I haven't secretly did a few behind her back before but it's the fact that she now knows who I was. I would have to open up myself and let them see the side of me that I've always hidden from the world since I was adopted. I wasn't ready...
"How about we ju-" I began to say but suddenly found myself tilting over as my vision clouded with a bright purple haze.
I was blinded as my body's weight suddenly dropped from its original 131 pounds to that as light as a feather. I suddenly felt weightless as my vision cleared.
What appeared before me wasn't Liza nor Axil. It was an obsidian canvas that glittered brightly with purple stars.
"Where am I?" I whispered in awe, staring up at the strange sky as the purple stars glistened and pulsed brightly with light.
I glanced down at my body to see that I was dressed in a plain white dress that snuggled with my chest then flared out at my waist and ended just a little above my knees. My feet were bare as they stood on nothing in particular.
Nothing in particular...
My eyes widened as I realized that I was standing on air even though beneath me felt solid. I bent over slightly to look beneath me, seeing the same blank canvas that glittered with stars. It was everywhere, surrounding me.... calling to me...
I looked ahead of me and took a cautious step forward, my stomach dropping at the thought of falling through mid air. My feet landed on solid ground and a sigh of relief escaped my lips.
What was this place?
I stretched out my hands towards the stars, but they were so far away from me. Every step that I took didn't seem to be closing the distance between us.
I froze as I suddenly felt like I was being watched. My skin crawled as the feeling of foreshadowing washed over me. My stomach dropped and I closed my eyes tightly, praying that what I was thinking wasn't true.
There was something behind me...
I slowly turned around, my eyes still tightly closed, afraid to face whatever it was that dragged me into this weird illusion.
I winced as light brightly flashed before me, causing my eyes to snap open on impulse. A star...
A large star...
Shooting right at me!?
OoO
Before I had time to react, a large purple star flashed with strange images as it sped towards me and collided with my body.
My vision got blinded for a split second before I found myself standing in the middle of a forest. The area looked familiar... maybe a few paces away from the entrance of the cave that led to the garden.
I furrowed my brows in confusion as I looked around.
"What am I doing here?"
A whimper of pain caught my attention as I quickly snapped my head to the side, my eyes immediately gravitating towards the curled-up bundle that laid beneath a tree, trembling in pain.
"Oh my god!"
I immediately ran up to the kid and knelt, reaching out a hand to turn him around only for my hand to slip right through him.
I opened my eyes and sat up from my laying position, only to smack my already pulsing head on something hard.
"Ow!"
I hissed and blinked my eyes up above me at a pair of light brown eyes that blinked down at me worriedly.
Axil...
My eyes widened in surprise as I quickly scrambled away from his face that was looming over mine. I was on our living room couch.
"What the hell are you doing!?"
Axil straightened up and cleared his throat, awkwardly rubbing at the back of his neck, "I heard you groan so I came to check and see if you were in pain... Are you okay?"
Besides the freaking heart attack you almost gave me!? I huffed and ran an exasperated hand down my face, "I'm fine, just a little disoriented."
"What happened? Are you not eating enough?"
I furrowed my eyebrows, "what? I look perfectly healthy. Why would you ask that? Where's Liza anyway?"
"Healthy? is this how skinny every healthy human is?"
I shot him a glare, offended, "skinny!? I'm 131 pounds and there's a bit of fat on me!"
