When we got outside the tall white building known as the Town's Hall where the mayor usually resided, we immediately pushed through the crowd of people that was surrounding the building and went inside, where it was much quieter. I followed behind Abel, who looked like he was familiar with the place and went towards the back of the building and into a room filled with a large desk surrounded by chairs. They probably used it to host meetings.

As soon as I entered the room, I shivered as a chill ran down my body. I was able to sense the magic residues that still lingered in the room and waved my hand, absorbing those tiny particles that told me that they were created in a hurry and wasn't given enough time to disperse.

Confusion blanketed my mind as I noticed that whatever spell it was got casted only a few hours ago but that was impossible. Tiana was already captured so there shouldn't be anyone else who could cast magic in town. Unless there was another witch.

Alarm rose inside me as I became cautious with my surroundings. I had to alert Axil of this.

I frowned as I looked at the front of the room where the white board was plastered against the wall. I watched as Abel walked towards it and flipped the light switch that was next to it.

Surprise flittered across my face as the white board was suddenly split in half and a hidden door opened behind it. Talking could be heard from the other side.

Abel tilted his head towards the entry, "c'mon. Everyone's already inside. This room was just discovered."

I followed him inside of the room and immediately coughed upon entry as this foul, disgusting scent clashed with my nose and entered my mouth. My eyes watered as I quickly tried waving away the scent with my hand, coughing, "what the fuck died in here!?"

"Fuck! Why did you bring her here?"

I heard Axil's voice curse out just as a figure hurriedly came to block my vision. I blinked up at his worried expression in confusion, trying to breath around the nauseating scent that tried to kill my nose.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"You shouldn't see this," A frown tugged down Axil's lips.

I furrowed my brows, my curiosity getting the best of me, "see what?" I asked, placing a hand on his chest, and trying to push him aside. He didn't move but that didn't deter me. I simply stepped aside and peeked around him and into the room but by time his hand came to cover my eyes it was already too late.

Shock and disgust entered my system at the bloodbath that was seen all over this room. It was like I entered a doctor's lab for dissecting humans. Human limbs were scattered all over the room and placed on tables. There were many tubes that stood tall with other stuff like human intestines and human eyes placed along the walls that were decorated with all kinds of bloody tools that were stained with blood.

It was only a glimpse, but that glimpse was all I needed as my stomach gurgled in disgust and I immediately turned around to vomit out whatever was left in my system.

My mind drifted back to when I had first entered the room and sensed the presence of a witch. Thinking of the time in which the spell was casted, it was possible for the witch to still be within the building. My heart strengthened in resolve as I thought of something.

I got out of my seat and placed a hand down on the tiled floors, willing the power festering around my heart to respond as I mutter, "scatter."

Tiny particles of orange light began to appear before our eyes as they gathered around me, merging themselves into my body and disappearing.

A sharp pain pierced my chest and caused me to gasp for breath and stumble. Axil immediately came to my side to hold me up.

"Enough dammit! You've barely just recovered and you're already using your powers. Just talk to me and let my pack handle the rest." Axil cursed furiously, guiding my frail frame towards the seats again.

I sat down and took a deep breath, my hand clutching my chest and my voice hoarse as I muttered, "but something doesn't feel right about this entire situation. We're missing.... something."

Axil shook my shoulders worriedly as my eyes began to roll back inside my head, but I paid him no mind as a blueprint appeared before me. A blueprint of the entire building and the heat signatures of all within it.
