Tiana cried out in pain and clawed at the hand that held her throat, her panicked eyes flickering to me as a plea for help.
I watched her indifferently.
"Answer our question, Tiana. I don't think you want to get ripped to pieces by an angry wolf," I persuaded, a light smile tilting my lips.
"I... I..." she choked, her eyes springing tears as Abel continued to tighten his hold around her neck.
I hesitated slightly then glanced back at Axil who met my gaze and nodded, "ease up Abel." he said.
Abel loosened his hold on her neck then sneered, "It's either you answer our fucking questions, or we send your body back to whoever the fuck you're working with in pieces."
Her eyes swirled with defeat as she gasped for breath. Witches normally possessed immense power, but our physical bodies were as weak as humans. We wouldn't last a minute if tortured.
"I didn't ask for this!" She cried out helplessly.
Abel released her and allowed her body to slump down on the ground as she sobbed and gasped for air.
"I didn't want any of this! When I married him, I didn't know what he was or the powers he possessed! I was completely in the dark! I was blindly in love!" She sobbed.
I raised an eyebrow in surprise as I continued to watch her cry.
"I didn't know I was a witch until I met him! He introduced me to magic! Dark magic! and when I found out I tried to leave but I couldn't. He wouldn't let me," her voice broke.
"Who are you talking about?" I asked cautiously.
"Michael! My husband! I didn't want any of this! Do you know how it feels like to have your entire life shifted upside down because of a simple mistake?"
"Shut up," the words escaped my lips before I could stop them, and I felt my chest burning as the anger that was bottled inside me suddenly erupted. I glared at her with pure hatred.
When I had made my outburst earlier, I had no idea that she was actually involved in the destruction of my coven. I was simply enraged at her playing victim when she wasn't far off from the same people who killed my family. But now... to know that she was there... I couldn't stop the murderous thoughts that flitted through my mind.
"You're a part of the council is what you're saying?" I asked.
Tiana laughed bitterly as her teary eyes strayed towards the brothers who I knew were standing firm behind me, "who knew that I'd be so unlucky as to run into the one person who has the ability to destroy us all."
A sarcastic laugh bubbled out of me as I approached her, "I really want to kill you right now," I knelt in front of her and grabbed a hold of her chin, my nails sinking into her skin.
She winced in pain and regained her backbone as she glared, "don't think that my death would solve anything. The council is looking for you as we speak and sooner or later, they will find you. When they do, you'll be dead."
I snorted at that and tapped her cheek with a finger, watching as a stream of energy disappeared beneath her skin.
A heart wrenching scream tore from her lips as her eyes widened to the point where they looked like they'd pop themselves out of her head. Her body trembled as her eyes rolled to the back of her head in pain. Black veins began to appear on her face as she convulsed and spasmed in my hand. I tapped her cheek again and called back the energy into my hand before pulling away from her.
