I eyed him warily, "How good are you at driving?"

He chuckled and flashed me a mischievous smirk, "C'mon, have some faith in your boyfriend. I can drive as good as Abel can, don't worry."

I sighed in relief then sunk into my seat and pulled on my seat belt.

Axil pulled us out of the hospital's parking lot then headed in the direction of Abel's home.

"I want to introduce you as the pack's Luna tomorrow," Axil cautiously mentioned.

I glanced over at his defined features then back out the window, "oh?"

"Yeah. Since I've marked you, the pack has already begun to feel your link within their minds; they just don't know who you are yet. This upcoming meeting would be a great time to introduce you. Are you fine with that?"

Tears streamed down my face mentally as I began to think of the upcoming work I'd have to be doing.

There really ain't no rest for the wicked.

Axil chuckled across from me, "I doubt you can be considered wicked, precious."

I shot him a glare, "stay out of my thoughts."

"They're very amusing."

I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously as a thought struck me, "why can't I hear your thoughts? Are you blocking me out?"

Axil shook his head and smiled, "I'd never. I'm always open to you. You just haven't learned how to tune into my mind yet."

"Then show me, show me right now!"

"I'm driving..."

"I don't care!"

"Precious..."

I huffed and turned back to look out the window, but for some reason, despite the serious look that adorned my features, my chest felt warm and fuzzy.

Axil hummed, "I am but I have my own problems to take care of. Sharing the load with Abel takes the pressure off me and neither of us mind it."

I nodded my head in understanding and listened as he showed me the house and familiarized myself with the rooms. It was stupid of me to assume they'd have a bad relationship just because of the years they've spent away from each other. They're twins after all... even I could somehow relate to their intimate bond.

My mind flashed back to the familiar faces of my sisters before I quickly willed it away.

The second floor of the house was much quieter and didn't seem to have anyone else besides us. As Axil lead me into a room at the end of the hallway, he said, "This is the room we'll be staying at until I get my own home. Liza's room is just next door. I figured you'd want to keep her as close as possible."

I nodded my head, touched by his considerate gesture.

Then it registered.

"We? I'm not sleeping with Liza?" I asked with a raised eyebrow as I gestured between us, "isn't this going a bit too fast?"

He raised a brow in return, "It's a little to late to say that after jumping me, no?"

"I did not jump you!"
