The man closed his mouth at that as he finally realized that no one in the crowd dared to refute what Axil said.

After a few seconds of silence, Axil continued as if nothing happened.

"Our uncle is innocent! It's Tiana and her husband that we need to point our claws at. I admit that Tiana and my uncle are indeed mates and that some of you saw the way that he acted back then, but what I'm trying to say is that, that isn't our uncle."

The crowd remained silent as everyone stared up at us in confusion.

Axil looked over at me and gestured for me to come to him. I did as he instructed and went to stand beside him, my heart twisting nervously as I became the center of attention.

"This is Ezmira Franchild. She was the one who freed us from our years long curse and had given us back our freedom. She discovered this whereas we failed to realize, so I'll let her explain."

Axil gave me the stage as he motioned for me to speak. I hesitated slightly.

"Relax," his voice sounded in my mind, blanketing my entire being in warmth as I found my tense figure relaxing.

I released a deep breath and then began, "As you all know, years ago your beta and their uncle met his mate Tiana and then he suddenly changed but that's impossible because a werewolf's character doesn't do a full 360 after meeting their mate. I've discovered that the man who is wearing Dexter's skin isn't the Dexter you know. It's Tiana's husband..." I began explaining what I had explained to Axil, and as I finished my explanation, the crowd once again erupted in chatter.

Someone called out, "If you were the one that freed us, that means that you're a witch, correct?"

I nodded in agreement, "correct."

I huffed and stopped speaking, saying all that I needed to say. Axil's arm came around my waist as he pulled me into his side and looked out at the crowd.

"Ezmira is my mate and the Luna of this pack. I know her enough to know that although she has a tough exterior, her heart is pure warmth. She exhausted herself to the point of endangering her own life, just to help us. She's been helping me with the management of our pack, and she came up with an idea to build an orphanage for the children that lost their parents because of the curse. She's one of us and she's not going anywhere so you either accept it or fight me."

The crowd remained silent at that, no one daring to refute his words.

Then, a woman stood out and directed her loathsome gaze towards me, "What makes her qualified to be the Luna? Are you positive she's your mate or is there a possibility that she has you under a spell?"

My heart immediately flared in annoyance as everyone turned their attention to another idiot.
