I refused Abel's money and bought us a room, pulling everyone inside as we each found a place to sit around the large booth that stood facing a mini stage.

Axil sat next to me with his hands thrown over my shoulder and Liza sat on the other side of me with Abel on her left. I wasn't surprised at all that she avoided sitting next to Dawson.

A server came into the room and handed us a menu to look at. After collecting everyone's choice, the server left.

"This is a nice business," Axil commented.

"Right? Ezzy and I fell in love with the place when we found it. It's clean, enjoyable and offers food and drinks while we relax and sing to our heart's content," Liza sighed as she relaxed into her seat.

"So, what now?" Abel asked.

Liza immediately perked back up and got up excitedly as she turned to the machine that stood in the corner. We watched silently as she did a little tampering before the screen in front of us got switched on to show the words "Sexy and I know it - LMFAO."

I facepalmed and grumbled, "God, if you're listening. Please unalive me right now before my ears start bleeding."

The guys stared curiously as this was their first time in the karaoke bar, not knowing what they were about to witness.

"I'm going first," Liza said excitedly, pressing play on the machine then immediately going on stage as the beat sounded out in the room.

Liza began to sing.

"When I walk on by

Girls be looking like, "damn he fly"

I pimp to the beat

Walking down the street in my new Lafreak

Yeah, this is how I roll

animal print, pants outta control

It's Redfoo with the big afro

And like Bruce Leroy

I got the glow, yeah

Girl, look at that body

Girl, look at that body

Girl, look at that body

( I-I-I work out)"

Have you ever been in a situation where you found yourself drowning in the endless ocean you call your nightmares? Every single night. They make your heart race, your palms sweaty and they sucked the air out of your lungs to the point where you sometimes woke up and found that you couldn't breathe. Then you began to panic because you're desperate for air, but none is coming because your mind suddenly shut down on you and suddenly you don't remember how to breathe.

Then while you're there gasping for breath, your mind began to get hazy, vision darkening and limbs twitching as your heart pounded painfully in your chest. Then in that brief moment where it finally hits you that you're about to die, you accept that fact and then everything becomes calm again.

But you're not dead. You just finally remembered how to breathe before it was too late and then you sit there, tears streaming down your face as you began to wish that you actually did die.

It would've been better if you did, more peaceful even because then you knew that once that feeling of panic passed then you'd have to get up and do whatever you can to survive this retched world because you're not brave enough to end it all.

I hated my life.

I hated everything in life.

I just wanted to see them again. See their smiles, hear their laughter, and feel their warm embrace. It's been years since we separated but I found myself thinking of them 24/7. The only light within this darkness I called life.

A knock sounded at the door and snapped me back to reality. I groaned as I sat there on the bathroom floor, leaning against the toilet that I was just bent over, throwing out all the alcohol and junk I had inhaled the night before.

My hair clung to my sweaty face as I panted for breath, my nose twitching at the sour scent that filled the air.

"Ellie?" Ryan's voice sounded through the door as he knocked again, "are you alright in there?"

"I'm fine. I just overdid it last night," I called out, reaching a hand up to flush the toilet and weakly pushing myself up off the ground.
