There was a slight pause before his hesitant voice sounded again, "I really enjoyed last night... but I have work in an hour, I have to go. Will you be fine on your own?"
I stumbled a bit then caught myself as I leaned up against the sink, my mind spinning. His voice suddenly sounded annoying in my ears.
I called out weakly, "Leave already. We're not together so stop acting so clingy."
A sigh sounded out, "Just... call me when you want to go out to drink. I don't want you to end up in another stranger's bed again. It's dangerous out here."
I couldn't help but snort as I sneered, "why do you care? You're doing the same fuck those strangers are doing. Fucking me to your heart's content."
There was silence for a brief moment before he said, "I deserve that."
Then his footsteps slowly faded away.
I massaged my throbbing forehead tiredly then leaned down over the sink and splashed water onto my face. I grabbed the brand-new toothbrush and began to brush the sour taste out of my mouth.
I willed myself to keep standing as I then stumbled into the shower and turned on the water, sliding down the wall and sitting on the tiled floor as the cold, refreshing water fell down on my body.
A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I thought of the nightmare that haunted me just half an hour ago before I woke up and emptied my stomach.
I'm a mess.
After sitting in the bathroom for a while, I began to feel slightly better then got up to wash myself. I quickly dried off and put back on the clothing I was in last night, fixed my wig as best as I could, grabbed my bag and phone then left the hotel room.
I took an elevator down onto the first floor then went to the checkout desk to hand in the keys I had purchased last night. The receptionist, who was already familiar with me just greeted me with a tight smile and her cold judgmental eyes as my train wreck of an appearance stared blankly back at her.
I couldn't care less what she thought of me.
After dealing with that, I walked out of the hotel and stood on the side of the road, awaiting a taxi.
I wasn't even out of the hotel long before I got called out to.
"Hey," a man suddenly appeared beside me with a warm smile as his eyes swirled curiously.
I frowned as I glanced across at him then stared back out at the busy road, "do I know you?" I asked.
"You don't. I've been noticing that you come to this hotel a lot lately. I always see you leaving exactly around this time and never managed to say anything until now..."
I snorted, "what are you? A stalker?"
The guy chuckled, "it sounds like it, huh? But no... there's just something about you that seems to have my eyes refusing to stray far..."
"That's not creepy," I mumbled to myself but loud enough that he could hear.
I glimpsed his shrug from the corner of my eyes as he placed his hands in his pockets and turned to face the road as well, "I could tell you're not interested but I'll just keep you company while you wait for your taxi at least."
"You don't have to wait long then," I muttered as I waved a hand at a passing taxi.
As the taxi pulled up in front of us, I adjusted my bag on my shoulder then opened the car door. Before I stepped in, I paused and glanced back at the man who silently stared at me.
"What's your name?" I asked.
A smile stretched across his face as his eyes glistened brightly, "I'm Julian."
Julian... I ran the name over in my mind even though I knew that I'd still end up forgetting it anyway.
I nodded in acknowledgment then hopped into the taxi and disappeared.
Who knew that this chance encounter would end up being the beginning to a series of unfortunate events?
Ezmira's POV
It's been about two hours since we came here to the bar. Our food and drinks were already delivered and after Liza had sung her song, the air became much more relaxed as the boys began to discuss amongst themselves while Liza and I sat and talked about everything yet nothing in particular.
I was finally feeling comfortable enough to be myself and play around with Liza. It's been quite a while since I let myself go like this. It was nice.
"I'm gonna learn to fight, I swear!"
I snorted, "you? learn to fight? You couldn't even last one session of those self defence classes I used to attend back in high school."
"That's because the teacher was an old man!" She argued.
"So, you're willing now because the teacher would be young???" I asked in disbelief.
She giggled, "who wouldn't? He can rough me up all he wants while I wrap these legs around him and fight for what's right."

Baby girl, all my girls, all my girls, Sean da Paul say
Well woman the way the time cold, I wanna be keepin' you warm
I got the right temperature fi shelter you from the storm
Oh Lord, gyal I got the right tactics to turn you on, and girl I
Wanna be the Papa, you can be the Mom, oh oh!"
A bubble immediately appeared around me as I laughed, danced, and sang with Liza. Axil and the guys looked on in amusement as we had our fun and my heart bloomed as this feeling of happiness surrounded me.
I should've known, however, that happiness was always short-lived and with my luck, nothing could ever go right.
As Liza and I sang, I suddenly felt the temperature in the room drop and Axil's face suddenly became serious as his eyes glazed over.
I immediately stopped singing and opened my link to the pack curiously, wondering what was happening. As soon as I released the floodgates, a strong wave of panic and fear hit me, and I stumbled back in surprise as my hand went to clutch at my chest.
Liza, finally realizing something was off stopped singing as she came to place a hand on my shoulder worriedly.
My widened eyes stared at Axil's grave face as I listened in on the conversation.
Without another word, Dawson got up and disappeared out the door before we could even blink, his eyes panicked and desperate. Abel was two steps behind him.
Liza jumped in surprise as the door slammed shut behind them.
"What's going on!?" She exclaimed over the pounding music in the room.
I grabbed her hand and hurriedly pulled her as I reached for our bags, "we've got to go." I said.
"Go? Why?" Liza asked in confusion.
A grimace pulled at my lips as I replied, "Bea's missing."
